Hey Kirk, that's even simplistic for most Christian denominations. Because you are implying that God only had a son when Jesus was born of Mary, which as far as I know, only the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses believe. In fact, the latter claim Jesus is only a prophet.

As far as I know, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity is as eternal as God is, for most Christians. Jesus was incarnated, by mother Mary, but it is overly simplistic to claim that God sired a son. Heaven only knows how the Holy Trinity was formed.

As to blasphemy, well, blasphemy is entirely in the mind of a beholder, so to speak. Are the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses blasphemous? Depends who feels compelled to take offense. I'm sure they don't think so!! This is human beings, creating problems for themselves, just because they pretend to know what they can't possibly know.

In short, brining other religions into the discussion is not even necessary, when those who define themselves as Christians can't even agree. Adds even more "degrees of freedom" into the discussion.

It is clear, from the Qura'nic verse, that Jesus denies any information or knowledge regarding of claims that are attributed to him by people who worship him and his mother, Mary. According to Qur'an (112, verse 3), God "begetteth not, Nor is He begotten".
