Dear Aras,

thank u for your answer. It seems that it is possible to ablate Ce. But they don't say under which conditions they do the ablation with Ce. I just found in the crossref. that they usesd a doubled Nd:YAG LASER with low pressures but other elements.

I know that some people also do sputter deposition of metallic Ce as well.

Maybe it is just the fact Mr. Amon mentioned, to do the ablation in inert gas atmosphere or low oxygen partial pressures.
