I want to use HCT116 cell line to check the down regulation of MICA/MICB surface expression level after infecting with Adenovirus type 41. For this cell should have surface expression of MICA/MICB, this information I am not getting. May I know, whether HCT116 express MICA/MICB on its surface?
Adenovirus type 41 does infection intestinal cell and HCT116 is colorectal carcinoma cell line so theoretically this virus can infect the HCT116 cell. Therefore my concern is that, Is anyone suggest me some article where people use this cell line study the adenovirus?
Hi Abhishek, do you have a GFP-expressing control virus, if so, you could try a pre-experiment to find out whether your Ad41 infect HCT116. You could do a FACS to confirm whether MICA/MICB on HCT116 surface. I have infected HCT116 very well with Ad5. Hope this help you.

Hi Yixiong, thank you very much for your suggestion. I don't have a GFP-expressing virus. Yes, as per your suggestion I could do Ad41 infection to HCT116 and perform FACS to check the MICA/B on HCT116 surface.
You have mention that you have infected HCT116 with Ad5. Could you please send me your infection protocol
