“Biophysics in Drug Discovery” is a core strength of NovAliX but is often relegated to the status of a side topic at other events. The NovAliX conference is an externally professionally organized event open to all, gathering together cutting-edge industrial and academic practitioners and suppliers spanning both biophysics and medicinal chemistry.
The inaugural event in 2013 covered:
Biophysical characterization of targets
Biophysical methods for identifying hits & optimizing hits into leads
Emerging technologies
Mechanistic analysis
The event was rounded-off by a social program in Strasbourg, city of culture, home of the European Parliament and a UNESCO landmark.
The pioneering event was highly appreciated by all. The participants were able to benefit from the insights of internationally renowned experts were able to benchmark themselves against the activities in other leading laboratories.
The scientific program attracted 160 participants 2/3 of which came from pharmaceutical companies. An excellent platform for commercial exhibitors to engage with key scientists and decisions makers has been created.
Consequently, a future event is planned for June 2015.
