Diabetes Atlas IDF 2021 - Top 3 countries with the highest rate of diabetes prevalence in adults (20–79 years) are Pakistan (30.8%), French Polynesia (25.2%) and Kuwait (24.9%).
The most significant impact depends not only on prevalence but also on access to and availability of diagnostic facilities and treatment options, as well as sociodemographic, cultural, and health system factors.

The international diabetes federation updated Atlas for 2025 shows the highest numbers in the Western Pacific. If you look at the references they are getting their data from peer reviewed articles and a literature review. https://diabetesatlas.org/resources/idf-diabetes-atlas-2025/

As per the IDF diabetes atlas for 2025 see attached 84.7 million in the Middle East and North Africa. It does not parse out for North Africa alone.
