More than 95% of acute leukemia M3 AND chronic myelocyticc leukemia have fusion gene ,thus having ABL-BCR ,PML-RARa fusion protein. But up to now ,detection for these fusion protein in plasma or bonemarrow smears using immunohistochemistry or ELISA methods has not been available. Why? Does anyone know if there is any study on detection of the fusion protein for these two types leukemia?Thank.
