Detail methods of Kupchan partitioning

I have aqueous alcoholic (70 % ethanol) extract. So to fractionate the crude extract using different organic solvents using partitioning (sep. funnel). how to use kupchan methods sice the extract is unable to dissolve in water completely. Thanks

its not expected to be dissolved completely in water as long as it forms a suspension you can use water.
