For four years, I served as Adjunct Faculty, Design Thinking, teaching online to first-year engineering, design, and business students at The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, a private university in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. I equipped them with Design Thinking tools and processes to create innovative products, objects, structures and systems, including user interactive experiences of 3D forms and spaces in the built environment. Individual student projects included wearable / personal technology, transportation, robots, drones, solar panels, kiosks, air travel experiences, military hardware, furniture, lighting, footwear, luxury packaging and Internet of Things (IoT) objects for brands such as Google, Samsung, Apple, HTC, Fitbit, Tesla, Indian Armed Forces, Nike and L’Oréal.
