I wanted to create a space to hear positions on the attempt to eliminate DEI and incorporate MEI in the hiring practice.

My concerns: (just naming a few)

1. There is an assumption that DEI excludes a person's professional achievements.

2. There is an assumption that a person of color is hired ONLY because of their ethnicity/race.

3. There is an assumption that the hiring/educational/business policies are not systemically racist.
