I am researching in the sphere of the government debt and if you have an interest you can see my "debt publications". In the site of Eurostat you can see the public statistical information about the dynamic of "debt to GDP" of Europe country.

For the last year (2018) the indicator of debt as a percentage of GDP for Bulgaria is 22.6%. Compared to other EU countries Bulgaria is on the third place after Estonia and Luxembourg. The optimistic forecasting about the Government Debt/GDP of Bulgaria is 19.5% for the next year (2020).

Following interesting question.

Sometime companies borrow from financers like banks to spend money in unsustainable operations (like those pollute the air or water). I think this is not a sustainable debt and vice versa.
