I have been working with Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells for 13 or so years, and I have learned a lot of useful lessons about their stable transfection, maintenance of expression, and other things.
What problems are most significant, from your experience, when using CHO cells for producing proteins for biotherapeutics? Are you satisfied with using antibiotic resistance? Do you use Dihydrofolate Reductase (DHFR) negative cells for selection? Are you satisfied with your current method for cryopreservation, or are there burdensome limitations?
