I don't know what is DAO-Pak. But let us safely assume it is a huge research project and you had assisted it during the fieldwork phase. So I presume you have data with you. However, you need to get permission to use it from the original holders of the project since they have intellectual rights too. So, it would be ethical and appropriate to take their concurrence before taking it forward.
Certainly. If you have contributed significantly to the fieldwork component of a (DAO-Pak- no idea what it is) study, it is both academically and ethically valid to explore the reuse or secondary analysis of its dataset. In research ethics and methodology, this falls under the realm of data reuse, secondary data analysis, or recontextualization, and it is a common and accepted practice in both qualitative and quantitative paradigms. However, you needed to acknowledge the original purpose of the data as well as the study. Sonny Jose
