Hi, Is it possible to find a relationship between mitochondrial dna sequence and any morphological variations in human? for example the high or the shoulder width. I did look around but I did not find answer.
You sound like you are very new to genetics. I suggest you start with a look at the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation website for some general background on mitochondrial biology and genetics. www.umdf.org.
A good way of monitoring the literature pertaining to your question might be to query papers that have cited Freimer & Sabatti's paper on The Human Phenome Project:
In the past and currently, investigation of the genetic basis of health, disease and evolutionary fitness characterizes papers citing Freimer & Sabatti. But, perhaps, future investigative projects will include fine-tuned attention to genetic sequence (including mtDNA) bases of the non-clinical or subclinical aspects of anatomical variation.
