A facilitative classroom environment that incorporates and applies interactive discussions and group work dynamics would have a positive significant impact on creativity and students higher thinking processes and cognitive skills.
An interactive classroom environment will certainly be a bonus for students to apply their higher thinking processes. However, the prerequisite to the facilitate higher thinking process is to acquire a massive amount of information before a person is able to process it from different angles. The key to higher order thinking skills is reading.
I am out of the classroom since Nursing School in 1990. I do not want to say when I graduated high school. The point is that my learning was enhanced when the teacher was engaged in the subject matter and could make it directly applicable to my life at that moment. Other information could be for the future, but if the teacher did not engage me in the immediacy of the information, I mentally checked out of class. I do not know if classroom teaching is creative and interactive now. Based on my nephews in grade 9 and grade 12. There is little creativity. I appreciate Faridah Ghazali's point that there needs to be a body of knowledge. I still believe that a body of knowledge is built and built solid when creativity and functionality are the cornerstones of knowledge internalization.
The school as a social structure must be attentive to the external variables (economic, cultural, social, environmental, etc.) that condition its formative task. The main actors to promote creativity and innovation are the teachers and the propitious scenario is the classroom. In this place, there must be educational experiences that make possible the integral learning of the students: knowledge, skills and attitudes. This training will be put into play in society, in order to improve it, making it more just and democratic, as well as allowing the personal development of each citizen.
I agree, creativity develops through social involvement. Creativity is connected with innovation and entrepreneurship, which should be taught in the education process. Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are important production factors in today's advanced knowledge-based economies, in which advanced information-oriented information processing technologies play an important role, ie technologies typical of the current fourth technological revolution known as Industry 4.0. In my opinion, in today's advanced knowledge-based economies, the importance of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship as key factors of production in economic processes in which knowledge, technology, innovations, etc. are an integral part of these processes. Therefore, teaching of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship should be taken into account in education processes. In addition, the state through financial subsidies from the public finance system should, as part of state intervention, support financially and organizationally establishing and developing startups based on new technologies.
