All commuting trips (on foot, 500m each way) unchanged (but an extra 2km added every morning, to get my exercise round the local park)
All business trips (typically 2 per week, 1 of 8 miles each way, 1 x c. 100 miles each way, all by train) suspended
All leisure trips (typically 1 per week of c. 50 miles each way, all by train) suspended
Personal business trips (typically 2 per week, each of c. 500m, on foot) replaced by similar shopping trips, carried out to cover for a family member who had the Covid-19 virus.

Most works were done on line but before covid 19 I go to work every day
Used to work in Denver Colorado and commute home on weekends to Vancouver, BC. That all ended March 12th. Now I have a 20 foot commute from my bedroom to my desk at home.

As we start to loosen the guidelines in BC, where the infection rate from testing is under 10 per day for 4 million population, patterns are changing. During unenforced lock down guidelines, there was no travel, roads were empty, people took it very seriously for the first 8 weeks, slowly at first. But, 1.5 weeks in everyone was obliging, although the media emphasized the exceptions. At that point, no aircraft overhead and our freeways and offices were empty. Even last week no one was travelling outside of their suburbs. Relaxed guidelines have now been given and parks etc starting to open up with more travel, but not 50% of normal.
If you want my personal opinion on this, we prepared for the Spanish Flu, not knowing what we were dealing with; but it is not as virulent. To put it in perspective calculate the normal death rate. For the USA, the highest and most concerning country at present: 331 million with 78.87 year life expectancy. Then 350,000 die every month from non-Covid causes. That is 700,000 in the two recent months of the pandemic. This is one of the best ways to put the situation in perspective. The USA has had about 100,000 deaths recorded for COVID, as of today. So, they have experienced a 14% increase in their death rate. The way the media presents the situation, you get the impression that deaths are unprecedented, which is not the case. This has been a good world wide exercise. But, next time we need to be smarter about it. Because, there were likely more deaths from other causes that were not as well dealt with and aggravated by the shut downs. In BC, where our situation was contained, it is more obvious that there was too strong a reaction. But, my opinion is by far in the minority. My primary concern is with the young people loosing their homes. Most of my daughter's 25 to 35 year old friends have had to move back home with their parents!

I would like to ask how will you analyze the data gathered using the survey. What statistical analysis will you use? particularly in comparing the travel behavior before and during the pandemic.
Because like you, I am planning to do also research on the changes in travel behavior in our place, particularly workers.
