I am using Laue diffraction. If the X-ray source and tested sample are all copper, what's the influence for the diffraction pattern?
LAUE diffraction differs from a traditional powder diffraction, since Bremsstrahlung radiation is used instead of a monochromatic beam.
Bremsstrahlung radiation can have any energy ranging from zero to the maximum kinetic energy of the bombarding electrons, therefore forming a continuous spectrum.
Dear Wenbin,
if you do XRF you would be seriously in trouble when using a Cu based x-ray tube and a Cu containing sample.
But for XRD including Laue applications the situation is completely relaxed.

I don't think there will any problem in your pattern. CuK X-ray is very suitable to choose for diffraction experiment for structural studies
