It can just be a fortuitous even. You should not try to compare GC and LC because their principles as well as the targeted compounds in both cases are quite different.

It depends on the stationary and mobile phases used. While it is technically possible to experiment and bring about such a situation, the chances of it happening using standard procedures is very remote.
