Research methods for business students, Saunders, Lewis, Thornhill (2009).
Research Design: qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches. Creswell (2009).
The most valuable text for this is Richard D. Altick's The Art of Literary Research. By having graduate students work the exercises in the back, they become familiar with the library; by demanding that they use proper research methodologies, citation, qualification of source, and documentation, they prepare themselves for individual efforts.
