I have to teach research methodology for Master degree students. This includes review of literature, data analysis and scientific writing. Please suggest good text books to teach this seminar.
The most valuable text for this is Richard D. Altick's The Art of Literary Research. By having graduate students work the exercises in the back, they become familiar with the library; by demanding that they use proper research methodologies, citation, qualification of source, and documentation, they prepare themselves for individual efforts.
