I am working on measuring TPC and antioxidant activity for malt wastes. My TPC values and antioxidant activity values (DPPH, ABTS) both are really good separately.
But the correlation values for TPC vs DPPH and TPC vs ABTS are really low. All my reference papers show that (TPC vs DPPH and TPC vs ABTS) correlation values are R2 at-least 0.80.It is normal to have low correlation values? If so, could someone tell me how to justify.
The problem here is, I need to optimize the data based on TPC and antioxidant activity. As, the correlation values are really low, I am ending up with two optimized values one with TPC and one with DPPH.
Thanks in advance!
