Hi,

In a soil analysis lab, we know that the different chemical parameters that we measure are affected by the soil:water dilution factor. For instance, in the case of an acidic soil, the soil pH will generally be more acidic in a 1:1 water extraction than in a 1:2 or 1:5 extraction. So here is my question: do you have or know of conversion tables that give general correction factors for the main soil chemical parameters (pH, EC, nutrients, etc.) according to the dilution ratio?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Xavier

PS: I am fully aware that such properties depends on a multitude of factors but general quantitative guidelines would help immensely :-)

PS2: this question is about water extraction and not other extraction methods (CaCl2, etc.)
