I have to pay 10-35 dollars per article for my non academic research on the issues of diabetes treatment.

Libraries are paying millions and going up each year.

Copyrighting scientific information intended for the public domain may not

be legally proper.  The Wright brothers tried to patent the airplane but was struck down.  Some things you cannot copyright.

Worse, much worse about journals copyrighting the work of scientists and researches is they are taking the fees without compensating those whose original work they have "copyrighted".

This is a very odd situation.  Talk to any rock star and ask them if they are not taking royalties for their copyrighted songs (eg taylor swift and spotifiy)

Time to get together and demand payment from those who copyright our work and collect the fees while not paying us.
