Generally, pipe flow model is laminar flow model. The patent described the thermo isolation properties of the pipes for specific application. I think, if you want to simulated this process, you needed use nonisothermal flow and heat transferred in solid and fluids Multiphysics coupling.
Most heat transfer text books give similar tables. These are rough and ready figures that are best used for order of magnitude calculations adb as checks that more complicated calculations do not have massive errors (i.e. experience). There are many simple correlations available in the texts if you want to look at heat transfer seriously!
