Is it enough to have only have loading control for western blots? or it is necessary to include positive,negative controls as well.
The concerned antibodies have been used already by many people in my lab, so its not new.

To be rigorous you do want to have a positive and negative control in your experimental conditions.

I would always have a positive and negative control if you can (and if you don't have specific constraints of space etc) . Even if the Ab works routinely in your lab, if one day sth strange appear, you want to able able to understand the phenomenon without re-running your experiments, this time with all the controls.
