Direct exposure to Endocrine disrupting chemicals has been indicted to cause several cancers in human. Mekuleyi et al(2015)highlighted several impacts of endocrine disrupting substances on economically viable crustaceans in Nigeria. How can the spread of the menace of endocrine disrupting chemicals be eliminated or eradicated in developing nations?
Endocrine disruptors are one of the major concerns in the developing countries . I think the only solution is community awareness
In my view, the governments of developing countries need to play a relevant role on this matter. Increases in the investments on research and awareness campaigns are examples of actions that could be taken.
I agree that raising awareness of the population is the best way. What we need is to make the world aware that we need to consume less, recycle more, and useless and fewer chemicals in food production. About the creation of crustaceous research that seeks withdrawal of the endocrine disruptors of the sewage before being thrown into water bodies would be highly interesting.
I agree with what was said above and also think that investment in new technologies of sewage treatment could help to reduce the incidence of EDCs in the aquatic environment, which is the final destination of these type of pollutants.
