Considering thin film based supercapacitors, what would be the effect of thin film's thickness on the supercapacitor's electrochemical performance?

I want to decide the optimizing range for the synthesis of my thin films (transition metal oxides and transition metal sulphides) to be used as electrode material in supercapacitors so as to get the best electrochemical performance.
