You would probably need to do 2 CaO + Br2 ->2 CaBr2 + O2 if you wanted calcium bromide or Ca(OH)2 + 2 HBrO3 -> Ca(BrO3)2 + 2 H2O for calcium bromate. Calcium carbonate is pretty stable unless it reacts with an acid or is reacted at a high temperature.

You have any idea for do this experiment? Which one of "CaO + Br2" or "CaCO3 + HBr" is better for my experiment?
