I am using HP Zbook 15 G2 Workstation for Comsol simulations. Though ram on the laptop is quite fine, the processor is not up to the mark for comsol simulations. So, I was wondering if I can use Intel Xeon phi co-processor in my laptop using external express slot? Also, how to run simulations on the Xeon Phi Co-processor using Comsol?

I had to buy a workstation mother board that allows me to use "Above 4G coding". Many ASUS and Most SuperMicro mobos offer this as an option.
The Phi's work well if you have a fast link between the main processor and the Phis. I'm not sure you have that option for a laptop.
You might want to look into upgrading the Lapack or the BLAS for your program. If there is a multithread option available, that will help a lot.
