When looking for gluconate based internal solutions for patching, I am hoping to get some help and input as to the variations in the chemicals added. I was researching into papers that are patching Purkinje cells, generation of LTD as well as filling with biocytin... I also read that cesium based internals are not suitable for biocytin labelling ...

Could I please have some input into why

Sodium versus Magnesium ATP and GTPs...

Addition of sucrose in some internals

Some groups use Sodium Chloride rather than Pot Chloride (would Pot be better?)

Thanks!!!!

Sindy
