I need to do a quick but quantitative detection of heparin ranging from 0 to 0.1% (0.1mg/mL) in water based solution. I only need to do it once or twice. I prefer a spectrophotometric assay but anything usually presented in a standard molecular/proteomic biology lab would be fine. Google gives me some neutral red, crystal violet and brilliant blue which is what I am looking for but it all come from the same group of Chinese researchers makes me wonder if there is not a simple but common method for this historic compound? Thanks.
