How many Co2+ ions are there on the (100) surface of Co3o4 nano-cube unit cell. If I were to modify the surface of the Co3O4 with ligands such as Ti(OBu)4 would the the Co-O-Ti bond be formed through the Co2+ ions or the Co3+ ions of the Co3O4?

- check which faces are exposed in nanocubes of Co3O4, at it does not cristallize in a cubic group,
- use the a model structure and counts
- if you coat your nanocube with TiO2 you will not form bonds unless the cristals dimensions are congruent with dimensions present in TiO2 structure etc
