Variable 1 (education levels)

Variable 2 (yes/no)

I want to check if there is an association between education level and ability to complete a task (yes/no). I would normally go for a simple chi squared test, however I want to repeat the experiment using the same participants but with five variations on the tasks, checking for an association.

Is it ok to perform 5 seperate chi squared tests to check for an association between education level and each of the five tasks ?

Or is it better to total the score from the five tasks and check for an association between education level and the combined tasks.
