Hi,

I am hoping to get opinions/input since I am undergrad and I see certain trends that I am highly curious about.

I have been doing lab rotation to get an extensive research experience. Having talked to the people in the lab, one interesting trend that I notice is that for labs that deal with mammalian cell culture, they have a low publication/discovery rate. On the other hand, I notice that labs that dealt with bacteria work (biofilms example), have strikingly more publication rate.

I am curious as to why. In addition, has anyone done work using mosquito/drosophila as model organisms? How is the relative ease of working with such organisms?
