Last night I was musing (as one does) on the compatibility of certain mathematical models of spacetime and the "models of time" we can derive from the temporal structure of natural language, and I posted the following comment on Facebook (what's the point of posing profound questions if you don't advertise?) :
"Does the causal structure of a Lorentzian manifold parallel the causal structure implicit in tensed language? (allowing, of course, that both mathematics and natural language can be considered as being "modelling systems" of the same general kind)"
