just think by charging your phone or laptop battery, you are getting access to internet also. isn't it amazing? It would bring faster development in rural areas, especially which are far away from the internet connection.

The internet can be access by electricity lines but it can be used for low data rate by present structure of transmission lines. "Power-line" communication (PLC) can be used for VLF, LF and HF band with 100 b/s, 800 kb/s and 200 Mb/s data rate respectively. It is used in Smart Grid application.
