My participants did a simple gambling task, but before they made their decision they saw a visual cue informing them about their winning chances.
But if I now look at my ERPs for this information cue, I cannot find the classical N1/P2/N2 complex at central electrodes (Fz-Cz). I attached an example.
I only see one negative deflection around 100 ms followed by a large positive one. I think the positive one is related to P3, but where are the other components?
Is there something wrong with my data? Or did you experienced something similar and can explain it maybe?
In case it is relevant: sampling rate was 512 Hz, reference to the mastoids, 0.05/35 Hz bandpassfilter, ica based removing of eye blinks.
(And if I look at temporal electrodes (T5, T6) I find again a large negativity around 100 ms, and a very very tiny one around 190 ms.)
Thank you very much already!
