Dose bacteria suffering cancerious transformations?

Cancer as a disease really falls into a "systems biology" arena, which isn't really something that single-celled organisms can participate in. Bacteria also, to my understand, have few built-in checks on growth, provided adequate nutrients -- thus there aren't really 'tumor suppressor genes' in bacteria, etc.
