I am looking for guidance or references on how to report bootstrapped confidence intervals for t-tests and ANVOVAs. I have read the guides on how to run the analyses, but am not quite sure how to report in APA formatting. In particular, SPSS gives a p value in the bootstrap table. Should I be using that value in a t-test (for example) or the one provided in the standard results area. Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure what you mean by using a p-value "in" a t-test, as p-values aren't inputs to t-tests...
When I use bootstrapping I just explain in the Methods section the p-values or confidence intervals were gotten by bootstrapping, and I explain how the bootstrapping was done (how many replicates, what kind of structure if it was a heirarchical bootstrap, etc.). Then I just report the values in the results section the same way I would report any results.
When I run the t-test in SPSS with bootstrapping, it provides the normal results table (Independent Samples Test), and then in the Bootstrap for Independent Samples Test it also provides a p value in addition to the confidence interval. Should I report the p from the IST table or the BIST table?
