Amara point hala, EIS is a non-destructive coating evaluation method that can detect small changes and details. Whereas Tafel analysis is mainly a destructive type of testing and cannot detect small differences in coating. But it may be useful for testing a raw materials corrosion resistance.
If you're dealing with a sealed coating, performing a polarization test (Tafel) is practically impossible due to the very high resistance. Potential measurement is impossible, so Tafel testing can be omitted. If the coating is damaged, you're testing the material at the bottom of the damage, not the coating itself. Therefore, it's best to stick with EIS.
