Go with DoE for optimisation because it can fit high empirical models which is necessary to find out the optimal parameter setting. OFAT is expensive, time consuming and can not provide you with good results especially if your problem is complex.

Ismaila, Taguchi is very limited method compared to surface response, factorial design, and Genetic algorithm. It can not be used to fit higher empirical models and is not effective design when your response has nonlinear behaviour.
