I need to perform antagonism experiments and I inject intrathecally the antagonist 30 minutes prior to the drug treatment. One of my antagonist is soluble in DMF or DMSO (DMF in my case) but very poorly soluble in aqueous solutions (solubility more than 100 times less than what I need to inject). The other one is solution in ethanol but has the same solubility issues.

Can I inject a small volume of the antagonist in 100% DMF or ethanol (11uL) directly intrathecal and perhaps followed by another injection of 10uL of saline ?

Thanks!
