The first is likely a preying mantis. Not sure if it is adult or juvenile. The last is a ground beetle (Carabidae). You could try iNaturalist for a more precise ID.
I agree with Dr. Ebert, I also think it's a praying mantis. I believe that mantis to be the Desert Pebble Mantis, Eremiaphila zetterstedti. It would make sense given the location where you collected the sample, and the exposed abdomen, short forewing, but without seeing it close up, I can't be a 100% positive ID. Very cool find!
