Dear reseachers
Can you help me to identify this lichen of the genus Usnea? This lichen is epiphytic which grows on various species of trees in Reunion island (Mascarene archipelago). I put as attachment 3 photos of this lichen.

It is a Usnea for sure, I would search for around U. rubicunda.

I'm not sure the exact identfication is posiible with only these photographs. The identifcation keys of Usnea include many features that can't be seen here.
The features you have to observe are the presence of isidia or sorales, apothecia, the color and structure of medula and cortex, also qualitative tests are useful for identfication and so on.
We should also know the length of thallus because there is nothing on photos to define the scale.

I think, it will be a Usnea which grow on the tree species.
