I have a hypothesis to used boron doped graphene as an enhanced support for subnano palladium particles (particle consists of few palladium atoms), mainly for catalytic applications. I found similar theoretical study about platinum, Wu et al 2011 conducted DFT calculation and they investigated simulation of graphene plane with one boron atom and Pt4 nanoparticle. Their simulation clearly established that the Pt4 cluster is more strongly bound to the B-doped graphene compared with the undoped case.I found some practical applications of this concept, all of those example I found was platinum. I would like to move on this concept with palladium and I am presently reading research papers.  I like to know about your views about this concept. Suggestions, examples and critics are warmly welcome.
