When finishing the refinement, in the file.out two values appear for the "N-sigma of the GoF". Is the last one is the real one? And one more doubt, is lower better? Thanks!
GOF is godness of fitting. In Rietveld Quantitative Phase Analysis (RQPA), GOF values below to 2 indicates a good refinement.
Don't you have other R-values, such as Rw? Rw is one of the most important values to indicate how good is your refinement.
Unless I am mistaken, this is rather trivial: Fullprof gives two sets of statistical indicators, one calculated from all data points, the other only from those data points with contribution from Bragg peaks. The later is useful in pattern that consist mostly of background, with few peaks inbetween. But it depends on the cut-off value defined for the peak contribution.
