i am working on research project in which i am applying normal irrigation to tomato plants in pots experiment after three days. i have selected two other irrigation intervals 6 and 9 days.
if i provide water to plant after 6 and 9 days , is it water stress?

Irrigation water stress depends on many factors like soil moisture, water availability, plant's vigor & stamina. Tomato is a dry season crop so it might not be faced water stress with 6 to 9 days interval irrigation.
In my opinion, perhaps it would be deficit irrigation, it is a type of irrigation strategy that can be applied through different types of irrigation methods. I don't think it's water stress
