Hi,
I found that Multinomial Logistic Regression can provide AIC. However, I used Multiple Regression Analysis in SPSS to do the regression. My predictor variables were categorical and continuous data. I want to know if I can select the optimal model by using only the eigenvalue? I am not sure if eigenvalue < 1 or < 0 are the criteria or not.

Hi,
Multinomial Logistic Regression can also be done in SPSS and Lower AIC values indicate a better-fit model. if the dependent variable ic nomial then multiple linear regr. model is not apt.
For Eigenvalues refer in Gogle.
