We can use EDTA-SnO2 in planar type solar cells (PSCs) as ETL and this had shown suppressed hysteresis with record efficiency (Dong Yang et al.). Now question arises, can we apply EDTA-SnO2 (ETL) in mesoporous PSCs?
The best way to know whether it is possible to use as PSCs, is to characterise the EDTA-SiO2. What you need to know is the charge carrier mobility and band gap. The band gap must align with the energy level of your cathode side and semiconductors.
