The below are my objectives. I would like to treat my IVs as categorical variables for objective 1-3 and for objective 4, i would like to treat them as continuous variables. Is it fine?
1. To determine the level of school performance, entrepreneurial leadership, school culture, and school innovativeness in regards to type of primary schools based on teachers’ perception.
2. To determine the main effect of entrepreneurial leadership, school culture and school innovativeness on school performance in regards to type of primary schools based on teachers’ perception.
3. To determine the interaction effect between entrepreneurial leadership, school culture and school innovativeness on school performance in regards to type of primary schools based on teachers’ perception.
4. To determine the best predictors of primary schools performance based on teachers perception.
I think it could be possible. I don´t see any methodological problem. You can categorize the teachers' perception (for example: very good, good, fair and bad) and based on this calculate the statistical differences between other continuous variables, or cross them with other categorical variables and calculate the chi square.. Then use the same variable as a continuous variable and calculate, for example, correlations.
