I want to prepare stock solution of copper sulphate, sodium potassium tartarate and sodium carbonate and store it for future use. Is it possible to do so? If so, how should we preserve these stock solution?
For storage of a copper sulphate solution what I've always done in the past is to add metals-grade nitric acid to a pH of about 4. That will prevent the copper from adhering to the side of the bottle. I've stored copper solutions for great lengths of time this way (1-2 years). I have no experience working with either of the other chemicals.
