Sustainable development's goal is to set up three or four types of sustainability, i.e. ecological sustainability, social sustainability, economic sustainability, and institutional sustainability. When we talk about oil and gas or mining they are commonly relatively against ecological sustainability, such as biodiversity, habitat, etc. Then what could we conduct to optimize mutual benefit and sustain all those components of sustainability? Can we measure it or is it only a concept without a conclusion? Would you give an opinion?
